treinta minutos de la vertiginosa costa uruguaya, este pueblo fundado
en 1892 por Fermin de Leon parece detenido en el tiempo. No pasa los
200 pobladores, aunque setenta años atrás supo tener un molino y
2.000 habitantes. Fue re-descubierto para el turismo por el mediático
chef argentino Francis Mallman, que allí tiene un restaurante y
hotel. Ahora recibe a sibaritas y bon vivant de todo el mundo, como
el Rolling Stone Ron Wood, que lo visitó el verano pasado.
Thirty
minutes by car from the Uruguayan coast, this town founded in 1892 by
Fermin de Leon seems frozen in time. It has around 200 inhabitants,
but seventy years ago used to have a mill and 2,000 inhabitants. The
Argentinian chef Francis Mallman rediscovered the city a couple of
years ago and opened there a restaurant and a hotel. Now Garzón is a
top destination for gourmets and bon vivant from people all around
the world, including Rolling Stone Ron Wood, who visited it last
summer.
